We're On A Mission
Women are spending a lot of money maintaining their periods. Period products like pads, tampons, and pain relievers are labeled as luxury item in our taxes. The government is saying that women chose to have their period like it's a choice when in reality we don’t. Then there’s the discrimination and a misunderstanding surrounding the monthly cycles. Periods are considered to be a shameful topic to talk about, and they’re kept a secret like a terrible disease. There are products labeled as “expensive" for their better quality than other products. All products should be marketed at the same price and quality.

Who Are We
Yesenia MarroquinI'm 16 and I'm on a mission with these girls to change the worlds perspective around girl's and their periods. A period is a thing that I've grown to accept as a normal monthly thing. As the writer, and photographer of the group I want to capture girl's stories, and to spread awareness about the things girls go through every month.

Angela TrujilloIm 16 and I'm on a mission with these girls to better the girl community by making them more confident with periods. I am not ashamed by my period because I grew to learn and to understand that what happens to not only me but happens to every girl is very natural. I want to teach the world how we should treat and be treated by other while on our periods. Being a girl is hard enough we don't need more hardships.

Jazmin AtzinI'm 16 and I'm on a mission with these girls. I want to talk about periods to everyone and how it shouldn't be seen as a negative thing. It's not gross or embarrassing. It's not "eww" its normal. It's a natural thing that happens to me and these girls. I want to be able to make girls more confident with their period. We want to better the image of periods.
